Payments and security
What we accept, what currency you are charged in, how your card details are protected and what appears on your bank statement.
Last updated 1 September 2026. This policy is written by UNICI CLOTHING LTD and applies to everything sold at uniciclothing.shop.
1. What we accept
We accept the following cards and wallets:
- Visa — credit, debit and prepaid
- Mastercard and Maestro — credit, debit and prepaid
- American Express
- PayPal
- Apple Pay
We do not accept cheques, bank transfers, cryptocurrency or cash on delivery. We do not offer credit, instalments or buy-now-pay-later.
2. Currency
Every price on this site is displayed and charged in pounds sterling (GBP). We do not offer multi-currency pricing. If your card or PayPal account is denominated in another currency, your provider converts the amount at their own rate and may add a foreign transaction fee. That conversion and any fee are between you and your provider; we do not receive them and cannot refund them.
3. When you are charged
Payment is authorised and taken when you confirm the order on the payment page. Nothing is charged while you are browsing or while items sit in your basket. If we cannot fulfil an order after payment — because a piece has sold out, or we cannot deliver to your address — we refund in full to the original payment method.
The total shown before you confirm is the total you pay: goods, plus delivery of £4.95 or free over £70.00. There are no handling charges, card surcharges or booking fees. No VAT is added, because UNICI CLOTHING LTD is not registered for UK VAT.
4. How your card details are protected
Card details are entered on our payment provider's hosted, PCI DSS compliant payment page. UNICI CLOTHING LTD never sees, handles or stores your full card number, expiry date or security code. Our own servers only receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded, plus the delivery details you gave.
- The entire site, including the checkout, is served over HTTPS with TLS encryption.
- We hold no cardholder data, so there is no card database here to breach.
- Our payment provider is responsible for PCI DSS compliance of the payment page itself; we are responsible for keeping the rest of the site secure and for not asking you for card details by any other route.
- We will never ask you for your full card number, PIN or security code by email, phone or message. If anyone claiming to be UNICI does, it is not us — please report it to support@uniciclothing.shop.
5. Strong customer authentication
UK and EU card payments are subject to strong customer authentication. Your bank may ask you to approve the payment in its app or by a one-time code. That step happens between you and your bank; we never see the code.
6. What appears on your statement
Your bank or card statement will show a descriptor referencing UNICI. If you see a charge you do not recognise, please email support@uniciclothing.shop with the date and amount before contacting your bank — we can usually identify it the same day.
7. Fraud prevention
Our payment provider screens transactions for fraud, and we may decline or cancel an order where a payment is flagged, where the delivery and billing details do not reconcile, or where we see automated card testing against the checkout. If we cancel an order for this reason, any authorisation is released and nothing is taken. We are not able to explain the detail of a fraud decision, as doing so would help the people we are screening for.
8. Refunds
Refunds are always returned to the original payment method. We cannot refund to a different card or account. See refunds and cancellations for timescales.
9. Reporting a security problem
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in this site, email support@uniciclothing.shop with the detail and we will acknowledge it within two working days. Please do not test against live orders or other customers' data.
